SUBMISSIONS
The Virginia Environmental Law Journal is not currently accepting submissions. We will begin soliciting contributions for Volume 44 in late spring 2025.
Our journal accepts pieces relating to environmental law and adjacent topics, including, but not limited to, animal law, climate change, and zoning regulations. We encourage academics, practitioners, and policymakers alike to submit their work (law students, including LLMs, should refer to our Notes Pool page for separate instructions).
Submissions must be unpublished, original works that demonstrate high-quality writing skills, thorough legal analysis, proper substantiation, and accurate citations.
When soliciting pieces, we prefer authors submit their work through Scholastica. If you do not have access to Scholastica, you may submit your piece via email to [email protected]. Please put the title of your piece and your full name in the subject line and attach: 1) a copy of the piece in Word format (.doc or .docx) and 2) your curriculum vitae/resume. Cover letters are welcome, but not required.
If you have any questions, please contact our Submission Directors, Lauren White (qrd6jk@virginia.edu) & Cam Moody (zaw9fj@virginia.edu).
